Good and reproducible clinical outcomes result from an effective medical treatment of a well-selected patient, via capable hands. Proper training and education is critical when introducing new treatment options and are best practiced in a near-real environment.
Intrinsic has invested time and resource to deliver our customers convenient, safe and re-producible training in a manner that is both efficient and effective. The RealSpine® simulator offers the surgeons a realistic surgical experience, when practicing the Barricaid® implantation procedure. In contrast to cadaver training, the surgeon is dealing with all realistic anatomical structures, soft tissues, and even an intraoperative controllable bleeding system. On top of a realistic patient model, the Barricaid® instruments are navigable so that fluoroscopic procedure can mimicked without the need for a C-arm, and thus avoiding subsequent radiation exposure.
