On March 5th, the Swiss NeuroSpine meeting took place in Bern focusing on dynamic stabilization and anular closure technologies. NeuroSpine celebrated their 5th anniversary as the advanced course of the Swiss Society of Neurosurgery (SSNS), supported by the Swiss Spine Institute and Swiss Society for Spinal Surgery (SGS).
The organizing committee invited a strong faculty of leading international experts who provided a 360° perspective on the clinical and economic need, patient selection, and interim safety analysis of Barricaid® Anular Closure.
The program section related to Anular Closure was very well received by the roughly 100+ participants, and included evidence-based clinial updates by Prof. Peter Vajkoczy and Prof. Claudius Thomé, a biomechanical evaluation of Barricaid® by Prof. Hans Joachim Wilke, and an excellent “crash-course” in health economics by Prof. Lieven Annemans from the University of Ghent, Belgium.
